Hello everyone (if there is anyone actually there),
For me this always the hardest part about blogging... the introduction post. Give me a subject and I could probably on about it for hours. Ask me to tell you a bit about myself and my mind goes completely blank. Therefore, I thought that I would start off by confessing three things that might give you a better understanding about this blog and the gal behind it.
Confession #1: I am a book junkie...
Given the title of this blog, that probably doesn't come as a big shock to you. I love to read and I will give pretty much any book a shot. I really like historical non-fiction, young adult, and romance. Yes, I am proud member of population who are addicted to courageous heroines, alpha heroes, and happily ever afters.
Granted, there is more to romance novels than this, which is why I am bringing it up. If I read it, it will appear on this blog. I am not going to stick to a genre, hence you will see it all. Classics, non-fiction, young adults, sci-fi, and romance.
Confession #2: I am not just a book junkie....
I love movies, television, music, crafting and the art of writing. It is not out of the realm of possibilities that those thing will make an appearance on this blog. Actually, I love the idea of integrated readers advisory, where librarians will not only suggest book titles that may interest you, but movies, television, ect... that you might like to check out.
I will be doing the same here. After reviewing a book, I not only will recommend other book titles you might like, but possibly some other form of entertainment that you might enjoy.
Confession #3: I am a Librarian in the making...
In fact, I have the lovely, hard-earned degree to back this all. Now, all I have to do is find the job. The reason that I am bring this up is that libraries, the librarian profession, and possible job hunting info might make an appearance on this blog.
Well, that is about it. I hope that you all enjoy this blog, maybe even find a great new author (or TV show or movie) that you hadn't heard of before. I will be back very soon with some book reviews.
Thanks,
Annie
